King’s Day 2019

YouthNow at the Netherlands King's Day Embassy celebration, the Saint George, Beirut - with Aya Jumaa and the art work from students of Andre Nahhas Secondary Public School in Mina, Tripoli. The Ambassador commended YouthNow and sited Aya's artistic talent. As for Aya, she said towards the end of the evening "this is the best day of my life". Deepest appreciation to His Excellency the Ambassador for his remarks and to Deputy Ambassador for her encouragement.

 
 

Visit to Tripoli 2018

Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands Ms. Margret Verwijk and Assistance Funding Coordinator Mr. Jan Herfkens visited YouthNow program in Tripoli where the Directors, teachers and students of Saba Zreik and Andre Nahhas Secondary Public Schools in Mina met the Embassy delegation during the orientation activity carried out by the Bridges-Josour team at Saba Zreik. Ms. Verwijk and Mr. Herfkens then stopped at Andre Nahhas School where students surprised them with models and drawings of famous sites from the Netherlands, including drawings of the King and Prime Minister. The tour ended in Jabal Mouhsen at the Second Qobbe Secondary Public School where Ms. Verwijk again experienced the enthusiasm the YouthNow program has generated with teachers and students alike.

King’s Day 2018

The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Beirut held its annual celebration for King's Day on Friday April 27 at the Saint George Hotel and Yacht Club. During the event, the Bridges YouthNow Program was prominently displayed, along with other recipients Government of the Netherlands funding.
